Terms of service
Last updated 22 October 2026
These terms apply between Lore (“Lore”, “we”) and the company that signs up for Lore (“you”). A signed order or pilot agreement takes priority over these terms where they differ.
1. The service
Lore interviews your departing employees, turns their answers into rules, lets your team review them, and makes approved rules available to your AI systems through an API and export.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the people you invite to your workspace and for keeping API keys secret. Company admins can approve rules, manage interviews and create keys. Tell us promptly about any unauthorised use.
3. Your responsibilities toward employees
- You are the controller of interview data and need a lawful basis to collect it.
- You must tell employees why they are being interviewed and how their answers will be used. Lore shows a short notice before every interview, but this does not replace your own obligations.
- Where required, for example by a works council, you must obtain the necessary approvals before using Lore.
- You must honour employees' requests to delete their interview.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Lore to collect passwords, special categories of personal data, or information you are not allowed to share with us. Do not try to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, or use it to evaluate or discipline employees.
5. AI output
Rules and answers are generated by AI and can be incomplete or wrong. That is why every rule needs approval from your team before agents can use it. You are responsible for reviewing rules and for how your AI systems act on them.
6. Data and ownership
You own your data, including interviews and rules. You give us permission to process it only to provide and secure the service, as set out in our data processing agreement and privacy policy. We own the Lore software and may use aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics to improve it.
7. Fees
Fees are set in your order or pilot agreement. Pilots may be free. AI usage may be capped per month; when a cap is reached, Lore pauses until the next month without losing data.
8. Confidentiality
Each party keeps the other's non-public information confidential and uses it only for this agreement.
9. Warranties and liability
We provide Lore with reasonable care and skill but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free. To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses, and each party's total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Lore at any time. Either party may end the agreement on 30 days' notice, or immediately if the other seriously breaches it. On request, we will export your approved rules, and we delete your data within 30 days of the end of the agreement.
11. Changes
We may update these terms and will give you 30 days' notice of material changes.
12. Law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam.
